Harry Redknapp Jury asked to come back tomorrow

Harry Redknapp Jury asked to come back tomorrow

The Spurs boss denies accepting bonus payments totalling £189,000 from former Portsmouth chairman Milan Mandaric during their time at the club. The judge told the jurors to ignore footballing matters and prosecutors told them to "keep their eyes on the ball" when considering their verdicts.

Mr Redknapp and Mr Mandaric both denied cheating the public revenue.

Judge Anthony Leonard told the eight men and four women at Southwark Crown Court: "Football is an emotive subject, stirring in an individual anything from deep passion to resentment."

Judge Anthony Leonard, in his summing up, he added: "This case is not about football but about allegations of tax fraud."

Both Redknapp, 64, of Poole, Dorset, and Mandaric, 73, from Oadby, Leicestershire, deny two counts of cheating the public revenue when Redknapp was manager of Portsmouth Football Club.

The first being that between 1 April 2002 and 28 November 2007, Mr Mandaric paid $145,000 (£93,100) into a bank account held by Mr Redknapp in Monaco to avoid paying income tax and national insurance.

The second charge for the same offence relates to a sum of $150,000 (£96,300) allegedly paid by Mr Mandaric to the same account between 1 May 2004 and 28 November 2007.

i find it very interesting to read this sgpsaae and meditate on it then go along my merry way to school with a happy heart then have to go into a atmostphere full of drama and ungodly mistakes then to come back home stress out over tests and homework and HUGE issues in your life and yet in the back of your mind God is still there, in my thoughts, my mouth, and my heart. thank you God for being there even when my mind is not on you, paitently waiting for me to inevitably trip up and make a dumb mistake so that i throw myself before you wondering how i got so far away from this morning. God you are with me every waking minute and your presence astounds me to the point of tears. thank you God for your endless patience and your undeniable love, i cannot live without it.
